Position Summary:
Optimize performance of refrigeration, HVAC, and building equipment. Utilize energy usage data to drive strategies that reduce consumption. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. 

Essential Job Functions:

•    Perform thorough commissioning of Refrigeration, EMS, and HVAC equipment.
•    Perform Measurement and verification a needed. 
•    Assist in testing new equipment and equipment designs.
•    Minimal overnight travel as needed.
•    Drive independently to stores on a daily basis to perform essential duties. 
•    Perform various preventive maintenance tasks and procedures, including audits. 
•    Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration and HVAC systems.
•    Optimize building and equipment systems in existing facilities and construction projects. 
•    Support the temperature monitoring application for division store refrigeration units in new and existing locations.
•    Review and analyze utility performance data.
•    Understands and comprehends typical utility infrastructure, components and identification.
•    Navigate and investigate electronic controls and interfaces. 
•    Communicate and Provide input to Facility Managers and store management regarding adherence to maintenance best practices.
•    Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
•    Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts safely.
•    Clean and maintain company service vehicles, if one is assigned.
•    Orally communicate with store personnel regarding the proper use of equipment as it relates to repeat calls and overtime. 
•    Utilize company email system to send and receive messages.
•    Create and use spreadsheets and documents to monitor and ensure energy best practices. 
•    Properly complete all repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation in a timely fashion.
•    Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
•    Assist other skilled trade technicians and repairs as requested.
•    Document and assist with training and development of Technician staff.
•    Physical demands include, but are not limited to, high aptitude for standing and walking endurance, sitting while driving to various stores, lifting and carrying up to 90 pounds, pushing and pulling, climbing ladders of various types, bending, squatting, and kneeling, and working in different temperatures inside and outside the store.
•    Other essential duties as may be assigned or required.
•    Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications & Education Requirements:  
•    Associates Degree or 2-year Technical Certificate in Refrigeration/HVAC program 
•    5+ years of proven Refrigeration/HVAC experience and satisfactory overall performance
•    EPA Type Universal Certification
•    Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Maintenance Management software
•    Demonstrated ability to interface with control manufacturers’ software 
•    Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license
•    Ability to work a flexible schedule
•    Demonstrated mentoring and training experience

Preferred Previous Job Experience/Education:
•    Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics
•    License in Refrigeration/HVAC mechanical or electrical
•    Supervisory experience
