JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Four year College degree from an accredited college (business and computer science degrees preferred); or 1-2 years of store experience or equivalent combination of education and store experience
Knowledge Requirements:
• Technical Skills –
o Ability to perform all tasks required of the position with little or no supervision.
o PC proficiency and working knowledge of MS Office.
o Knowledge of LAN/WAN and store systems technology preferred.
o Point of Sale system experience and troubleshooting knowledge preferred.
• Communication Skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills. Superior telephone etiquette and an ability to deal effectively with customers, vendors, peers and management
• Mathematical Skills – ability to understand basic percents and simple calculations, trending and averages.
• Analytic Skills –
o Strong problem-solving skills, good technical and mechanical aptitude
o Ability to make independent decisions giving full consideration to business operations and/or customer impact.
• Organization and Planning Skills - Good initiative and project management skills. The ability to organize work in an efficient manner and to work well under stress and time pressures.
Experience:
• Point of Sale system experience and troubleshooting knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN and store systems technology preferred
Other Information: Additional information specific to the position
• Prolonged sitting and typing. PC/CRT use over 50%.
• Office environment with standard work schedule of 40 hours. Flexibility in scheduling, including nights and weekends. Overtime as required.
