Your Purpose

The Shopper Marketing & Planning team is dedicated to creating valuable experiences for our customers by providing compelling solutions to find and discover the right products and programs. We help customers find delight on their path to purchase. At Harris Teeter, we recognize the importance of effective shopper marketing strategies in driving sales and creating connections. The Shopper Marketing Project Coordinator will play a key role in planning, execution, and evaluation of shopper marketing & planning initiatives across our stores and online. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about marketing, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and possesses strong organizational and communication skills.

What You’ll Do

Project Coordination:

  • Assist in the development and execution of shopper marketing and category programs, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure smooth execution of shopper marketing projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and vendors, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Track project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively propose solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Support coordination and execution of in-store shopper marketing activations
  • Support the planning and selling of upcoming Shopper Marketing programs; confidently present strategies and recommendations to both internal and external partners.Influence the strategy and execution of Shopper Marketing initiatives through competitive insights, ideation, and in-store evaluations (store walks).Creative Asset Management: Collaborate with internal and external creative teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of shopper marketing & planning materials that meet quality standards and align with Harris Teeter brand guidelines.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to shopper behavior, sales performance, and marketing campaign results.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing key findings and insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement of shopper marketing strategies.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for optimization based on data analysis.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of project coordination/management experience.

Preferred:  

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the grocery retail industry and understanding of shopper marketing concepts is preferred.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to overcome challenges and drive innovation in shopper marketing initiatives.

Physical Demands

Physical demands include, but are not limited to, high aptitude for standing and walking endurance, sitting while driving to various stores, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling climbing ladders of various types, bending, squatting, and kneeling, and working in different temperatures inside and outside the store.
