Position Summary:

To oversee the daily operations within the Reclaim facility in accordance to SOP.  

II.            Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

·         Scan product codes of manufacturers to input data into Company’s computerized system for processing in a productive and accurate manner. 

·         Supervise daily operations in a fast-paced and continuously changing production – warehouse environment.

·         Operate the facility in strict accordance with all SOP’s per Harris Teeter guidelines.

·         Maintain established quality and accuracy levels.

·         Complete departmental paperwork as needed. (Managing completion of hand keys, Monitoring vendor holds, maintaining item file integrity, researching errors, and verifying scans)

·         Train and schedule full-time, part-time, and temporary warehouse personnel. Responsible for providing employees with training/business updates as needed.

·         Ability to operate and troubleshoot department equipment, i.e., material handling equipment, such as the forklift and pallet jack, Floor scrubber.

·         Monitor inbound and outbound warehouse inventory and the flow of product to and from the processors. Maintain Company BOL’s.

·         Ensure all trailers are unloaded daily and coordinating the moves to and from the reclaim center of trailers as needed.

·         Coordinate and oversee the processing of disposition for products with the Unsaleables Manager.

·         Maintain high standards for safety, security, and quality practices in the work environment.

·         Monitor opening, closing, and breaks to ensure proper compliance by all employees. Responsibility of carrying keys and alarm codes for the building.

·         Contribute to employee development by providing training and coaching.

·         Ensure that deadlines are met by monitoring and directing department activities and adjusting in staffing and priorities.

·         Ensure that the Universal waste procedures are being followed to Harris Teeter standards.

·         Ensure all recalls are scanned, sorted and dispositions are followed correctly.

·         Sort scanned product in appropriate location.

·         Locate or relocate product as directed.

·         Build or re-stack pallet loads as required.

·         Move and empty mobile trash bins as needed.

·         Tie and load bails as needed.

·         Ability to fill in at all positions as needed. (Load, scan, forklift)

·         Communicate with manage and manage associates indirectly.

·         Act professionally at all times.

·         Flexible and open to changing assignments.

·         Assist with cleaning of warehouse to HT standards.

·         Meets attendance standards.

·         Label completed pallets in an accurate and legible manner.

·         Supply stations with properly assembled boxes.

Minimum Requirements:

·         High School diploma preferred or its equivalent; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the responsibilities of this position.

·         Must be at least 18 years of age

·         Working knowledge of computers

·         Ability to work under time pressure and meet production goals

·         Ability to assist other operations within the warehouse, as needed and if applicable 

·         Ability to meet set production and quality goals and follow standard operating and safety procedures

·         Ability to work with hazardous waste and make sure Harris Teeter Haz guidelines are being followed.

·         Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment

·         Regularly required to stand, kneel or stoop, and lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

·         Regularly required to view items at an extremely close range and must be able to adjust and readjust focus. 

IV.          Safety:

Support a safe work environment by following safety rules and regulations and reporting all safety hazards. 

V. Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Maintain integrity in the Job Posting system by following the policy and by ensuring that all new associates are aware of the process.  Respond to associate questions in a timely and proper manner.  Ask for the opinion and suggestions of your associates where appropriate. Encourage associates to make suggestions for process improvements. Ensure they receive recognition for their ideas.  Recognize exemplary job performance using Exceptional Performances and PROPSS. Acknowledge positive job performance daily. Fairly evaluate associates’ performance on their evaluations.  Address attendance issues and performance problems or record associates’ out of the ordinary behavior when it occurs, using the Discussion Point and Constructive Advice process. Discuss behavior and possible corrective action with associates to create an action plan according to prescribed procedure. Sign off on the documents with those associates involved and submit to Associate Relations for review.
