Your Purpose
The Computer Operations team is responsible for operating the enterprise workload automation platform (BMC Control-M), system consoles, production printing, and monitoring critical data center infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operations.
What You’ll Do
- Execute and monitor scheduled production jobs to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Operate system console, printers, and distribute printer output.
- Monitor ongoing operations, interpret error messages, diagnose problems, and take corrective action within scope of knowledge and authority.
- Request assistance when needed and escalate issues to the supervisor.
- Document significant shift events in the Shift Turnover Log and communicate them to operations personnel.
- Grant computer room access and supervise vendors, technicians and other authorized visitors in accordance with established security procedures.
- Record utilization data of key infrastructure systems (electrical, environmental, fire, safety, camera, server, etc.) and report any failures to IS Management immediately.
- Recognize deficiencies in schedules, documentation, JCL, and naming per department standards. Ensure supervisor is aware of standard violations.
- Promptly record job failures, application errors, or system issues in the enterprise problem management system (ServiceNow).

What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or two years related experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of data processing & operating system concepts.
- Fundamental computer skills (email, instant messaging, browser-based apps, printer management)
- Prefer 1+ year of technical support, data center, or computer operations job experience. Combination of education and experience will be considered.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Office environment with standard work schedule of 24 hours. (two 12-hour shifts)
3rd shift schedule.
Prolonged sitting and typing. PC/CRT use over 50%.
