Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related area from a four-year college or university with three years direct responsibility for supporting the data communications and network infrastructure, or a minimum of six years data communications and networking experience supporting the complete enterprise data and voice networks in a multi state environment.

Experience must further include proficiency and design work relating to at least the following:

Networking Technology including Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Palo Alto, and Extreme Networking

WAN Architecture with emphasis on MPLS

Routing Protocols

Core Switching both physical and virtual

Enterprise 802.11 based Wireless

Remote Access to include at least VPN and Firewall

Network Security

Network Monitoring and Incident Management

VOIP

SAN Fabric

Architecture for audit and compliance

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community

Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

      To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the standard Microsoft Office suite of applications, Microsoft Visio, Cisco IOS, Palo Alto PAN-OS,

     Experience with the following would also be desirable; Arista switches, HP/Aruba Networks switches, Extreme Network Wi-Fi, Solarwinds, and Jira.

Certificates and Licenses:

Must have the following minimums or equivalent; Cisco (CCNA), other certifications, such as Palo Alto is desired.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Indirectly supervises employees in the Information Systems on a limited basis. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
