Your Purpose

You will take an idea designed to elevate our unique story from concept stage to final delivery with a focus on content that excites and engages our associates using our guiding principles: Every Voice; Better Every Day; With You, For You; Believe it’s Possible; Integrity Always.  
You will identify and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business
objectives/ensure proper representation of Harris Teeter’s culture and purpose.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop/produce compelling, relevant, on-trend media content from concept through delivery for a variety of outputs (internal, external, social platforms, etc.).
  • Operate as a one-person production shop with the ability to collaborate as part of a team on larger, multi-division projects.
  • Partner with internal clients to establish a clear direction and expectations for deliverables; articulate a compelling and engaging project vision.
  • Establish creative direction (overall look and feel) for productions in partnership with the Corporate Affairs team while adhering to all relevant brand/ style guidelines.
  • Produce/direct field and studio video/still productions; lead and run live events.
  • Write, review and approve program proposals, which include budgets, creative treatments and preliminary schedules.
  • Manage each project, including scheduling resources, coordinating creative efforts, communicating with clients, and adhering to project delivery dates.
  • Maintain knowledge of current media technology, trends and equipment; experiment with new techniques (Adobe, RED, Sony, AJA, etc.).
  • Identify and select on-screen talent; effectively direct talent/internal presenters to ensure an engaging message is delivered.
  • Educate key business owners about relevant production processes/procedures to facilitate effective communication.
  • Write scripts; shoot, direct and edit field/in-studio productions; create graphics; and direct live, interactive shows as projects require.
  • Solicit, respond and act on program effectiveness feedback from peers, business owners and audience members.
  • Travel to company sites, vendors and other external locations to manage media projects.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, film, video production or related
  • 4+ years a creative media production environment
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills for multiple channels and audiences.
  • Strong knowledge and ability to facilitate the entire production process (scripting, production, graphics and postproduction)
  • Flexibility to work in multiple environments as projects dictate (office, field, retail, manufacturing and logistics)
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization and build/maintain cooperative business partnerships
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create an environment where cast/crew talents can thrive
  • Demonstrated success meeting deadlines and effectively prioritizing, managing/executing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated skill in developing creative, engaging content
  • Portfolio/reel of previous work
  • Experience with the Adobe CC suite of applications
  • Experience working with or for large companies/brands

Physical Demands

Physical demands include, but are not limited to, high aptitude for standing and walking endurance, sitting while driving to various stores, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling climbing ladders of various types, bending, squatting, and kneeling, and working in different temperatures inside and outside the store.
