Extensive knowledge of the beer and wine categories to include, but not limited to the following: product attributes, growing/production areas, tasting methods/criteria, varietal differences, craft & import beer trends and buying practices. Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years related experience and/or training.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs using basic analytical business acumen.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word or similar word processing software; Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software; Soft Grocer inventory software or similar inventory software.
Certificates and Licenses:
TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) workshop must be completed within 90 days of being in job.
