Summary: Industrial Equipment Maintenance and repairs, able to diagnose and repair and perform preventitive maintenance on all industrial equipment assigned to the shop.
Also responsible for Assisting Forklift Mechanic I and guiding and developing associates; Forklift Mechanic
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not restricted to;
Utilize the computerized maintenance tracking and logging system
Observes and operates mechanical equipment, listens to their sounds, observes operation to locate causes of trouble.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective or worn parts. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
Lubricates and cleans parts. Starts devices to test their performance.
Ability to operate tire press, drill press, grinders, battery changing equipment and other specialized tools to make and repair parts.
Initiates purchase order for parts and machines. Repairs electrical equipment. Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience:
Two year college, Technical or vocational school, or university program certificate; or a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general professional journals, technical manuals or procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, vendors and our customers.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram,
or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge and be able to learn and use the
maintenance database software and other program, such as; VLM, Word and Excel.

Other Abilities:
After hours response: Associate must be able and willing to respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day / 7 days a week should the need arise.
Must be 18 years of age
Must abide by dress code
Must have and safely maintain their own tool set, appropriate for the job requirements
