Your Purpose

The Facilities Manager will oversee the maintenance and functionality of store locations and support facilities across the assigned region. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring that each location operates efficiently and provides a clean, functional environment for customers and employees as well as manage a team of technicians, create and maintain partnerships with maintenance contractors, and support corporate management with budget and cost control.

What You’ll do

Principal Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for accounting functions for Store Facilities Repair and Maintenance.
  • Arranges for alterations to, and/or maintenance, upkeep, or reconditioning of property, lighting, electrical mechanical systems.  
  • Employs or contracts for Maintenance services.
  • Manages internal Technicians and oversees contractor relationships.
  • Manages maintenance, repairs, installation, and preventative maintenance, for store building systems interior and exterior.
  • Cost management for internal and external maintenance vendors.
  • Collects and analyzes data; translates concepts to design workflows, processes and procedures.
  • Manages utility spend by executing the overall energy management plan to support efficient operation of all stores mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Develops, budgets, and manages, installation of maintenance projects.  
  • Develops and coordinates projects, communicates timelines, changes and progress.  
  • Develops Maintenance management strategies for the stores.  
  • Manages mechanical systems for existing stores, including contracting and Services.
  • Manages electrical and plumbing systems for existing stores, including contracting and Services.
  • Manages refrigeration and energy systems for existing stores, including contracting and Services.
  • Executes the overall maintenance and energy programs using standardized best practices.  
  • Responsible for governmental regulation and law compliance as it relates to the overall maintenance program for new and existing stores.

What You Bring 

Required

  • Associate’s degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and 10 years year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in HVAC&R or related facilities maintenance / project management disciplines.
  • Proficiency in Commercial MEP&R systems including but not limited to refrigeration, dehumidification, comfort cooling, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, direct digital controls, generation, cooking equipment, food processing equipment, hydraulic equipment and building utilities.  Knowledge of building maintenance both interior and exterior and it relates to building maintenance; including but not limited to Roofs, building systems, concrete, interior finishes, exterior finishes and parking lots.

Preferred

  • Five years direct contractor and team management experience.
  • Five years project management experience.
