Your Purpose: Works independently to provide organizational support for Store Development Department.
What You’ll Do
- Supports Equipment & Construction Financial Administrator along with Director of Warehouse Maintenance.
- Support six or more project managers with all aspects of ordering and scheduling deliveries of new store, expansion, remodels, fuel center and misc. store equipment purchases.
- Communicates with all HT equipment vendors for purchasing of store equipment.
- Understands grocery store equipment and review technical specs to ensure they match the design specs on the blueprints so that the correct piece of equipment is ordered.
- Coordinate with HT design firms to review and implement design specification revisions provided by HT equipment vendors during the equipment ordering process, if updates are issued.
- Understand and identify the various equipment components supplied for HT projects, including store projects with over 1,000 pieces and fuel projects with over 500 pieces of equipment.
- On average, the associate will be responsible for ordering between $10 million and $15 million in store and fuel center equipment annually, with this amount expected to increase as project volume grows.
- Support all stores/operations request for equipment replacement for store or fuel center. This will require good communication skills, and ability to identify the equipment needing replacement. If the equipment request is not clear the associate will have to have a general understanding of the request so they can research and identify the request and order the equipment from the correct vendor.
- Prepare capital PRs for new, expansion, remodel, and fuel center projects for review and approval at the monthly SDC meeting, including all necessary equipment and construction documentation to support each request (this will require a general understanding of how a project cost is developed in the construction field)
- Prepare miscellaneous capital PRs for store/operations equipment replacement requests, including all required equipment and construction documentation, for review and approval by senior management at the monthly SDC meeting. Once Capital has been approved thru Kroger and Oracle the associate will have to contact the Project Manager or owner of the capital request. Then review and schedule/coordinate writing POs for all projects going into construction or requested by store operations.
- Coupa System housekeeping: Pay invoices and close purchase orders in a timely manner. Communicate to Accounting PO is soft closed.
- Develop and follow standard processes in an ever-changing environment in conjunction with Project Managers, Store Operations, and Merchandising partners to streamline estimates, equipment orders, and project cost tracking.

What You Bring
Required:
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- General knowledge of the grocery / fuel center construction industry practice.
- Able to read and understand blueprints for store and fuel center construction projects.
- General knowledge of grocery store equipment.
- General knowledge of fuel center equipment.
- Able to communicate proficiently with Architectural and Engineering firms and equipment vendors.
- Knowledge of construction accounting skills.
- Proficient filing and organizational skills.
- Required to be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat DC and Writer, and Access
Physical Demands
Physical demands include, but are not limited to, high aptitude for standing and walking endurance, sitting while driving to various stores, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling climbing ladders of various types, bending, squatting, and kneeling, and working in different temperatures inside and outside the store.
