Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year College or university, plus
Minimum 2 years corporate or regional-level Merchandising or Sales experience in a consumer-packaged goods business.
-or-
Completion of BBT and/or MDP and a minimum of 2 years as a Harris Teeter Assistant, Co-Manager, or Store Manager.
-or-
Minimum 6 years corporate or regional-level Merchandising or Sales experience in a consumer-packaged goods business.
-or-
Minimum 3 years corporate or regional-level Merchandising or Sales experience in a consumer-packaged goods business, plus completion of MDP and a minimum of 2 years as a Harris Teeter Assistant, Co-Manager, or Store Manager.
-or-
Completion of MDP and a minimum of 4 years as a Harris Teeter Assistant, Co-Manager, or Store Manager.
-or-
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word (word processing software), Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet software), BICEPS/TRICEPS (order processing systems), and have knowledge of basic internet software.
